yes... yess... yesss... the secret is out.. i'm revealing the truth and nothing but...
although i've mentioned on my earlier posts (in May) that i wouldn't be joining the bandwagon, i finally gave in to temptation...
the month of August, when we bought a new computer package and had broadband installed... that's when it all started.. everyone's going Ga-Ga about farms and restaurants and the like.. my colleagues have been pestering me with email notifications / friends requests...
that's when i heed to the calling.. hubby setup his account and i followed suit.. i didn't know it could be this addciting! i've even setup accounts for my two kids...
oh yes, the Santos family can be found on Facebook... my kids have fun playing with their pets... while me & hubby compete with our restos & cafes...
so basically, i can say that we're all addicts!!

♥ xmas tree galore
Christmas is fast approaching... parang kelan lang, it was the start of the New Year.. then Valentines... then birthdays, et al... so i started making preparations for our family Xmas party and thought of the gifts that I would be giving to my kids and friends...
but before the gifts, we have to start decorating our humble abode...we bought a new Christmas Tree last Saturday... actually, we already had an old small one sitting on top of our TV set.. we built it last September pa..
but then, hubby wanted to have something taller.. so when we saw a 5-ft xmas tree on sale in a nearby mall, hubby grabbed it and soon we bought new xmas decors...
our bunso, Kian, specifically had fun putting the xmas balls on our new xmas tree.. Kyle was the one who chose the color/theme.. he said, he wanted something blue & snowy.. so we bought blue & white ornaments for our tree.. and here's the "final product..."
it's been known that Christmas is for kids... true.. my kids are already excited and anticipating the arrival of Santa Claus.. (i've been telling them that Santa would be visiting them soon!) kaya naman, tuwang-tuwa ang aking mga bulilit..for sure, this Xmas is gonna be a special one..

♥ lesson plan...
hindi ako isang guro... ngunit minsan, noon, sa mura kong edad na labing-lima, naranasan ko ang magturo ng Religion sa mga estudyante ng ika-anim na baitang sa aming barangay.. at minsan, naisip ko, gusto kong ipagpatuloy ito..
pero di ko na nagawa ito.. pagtuntong ko ng kolehiyo, nanaig ang pagsunod ko sa kagustuhan ng aking mga magulang na ako ay mag-aral ng CompSci.. ayos lang naman dahil kahit paano, gumanda ang kinalabasan nito..
kagabi, habang nanonood ako ng MMK, naantig ang aking puso sa istorya ng buhay ni Ma'm Chato, Miss Jean at sa mga estudyante ng Gumapac Barrio School.. nasaksihan ko ang hirap at mga sakripisyo na pinagdaanan ni Madam para mahikayat na mag-aaral ang mga bata sa munting paaralan sa kabila ng kahirapan, habang binibigyan na gabay ang kapwa guro (ms.Jean) at napapanatiling mabubuti ang mga anak at maasikaso sa asawa..
hindi lang isang beses na tumulo ang aking mga luha habang nanonood ng MMK.. mahigit sampung ulit siguro akong nakita ng mga anak ko na nagpupunas ng luha.. akala nga ng aking bunso, may masakit sa akin, kasi umiiyak ako. pilit nyang ipinahid sa king mukha ang kanyang t-shirt at hinalikan ako habang sinasabi ang "i love you mommy, wag ka na iyak.."
naalaala ko na rin tuloy yung mga gabing nagpupuyat ako (nung hayskul) para ihanda ang lesson plans ko.. pinag-aaralan kong mabuti ang ituturo ko sa mga Religioin students ko na nakakasalamuha ko lang kada Miyerkules.. lagi nga akong "excited" na maibahagi ang mga kaalaman ko at makilala ang mga bata sa elementarya kung saan ako nagtapos noon.. (nagturo ako dahil isa ito sa mga requirements bilang isa sa mga units sa aking Values Ed/Cathechism subject sa hayskul).. natatandaan ko, gustong-gusto kong inaayso ang lesson plans ko.. at kada pagkatapos ng oras ng aking pagtuturo, matamis na ngiti ang laging pinapabaon sa akin ng mga mag-aaral..
masarap ang maging guro.. lalo na kung nakikita mong naisasapuso ng mga estudyante mo ang mga tinuturo mo sa knila.. kahit di ako isang guro, hiling ko na sana maapreciate ng mga anak ko ang mga itinuturo ko sa kanila (gaya pagbibilang, pag-aaral ng ABKADA,, etc..) at malaman nila ang values ng pag-aaral, na isa sa mga tanging yaman na maipapamana namin sa knila...
sa napanood ko kagabi, di ko lubos maisip, na sa kabila ng mga sakripisyo ng mga guro sa ating bansa, sila na tumutulong sa mga mamamayan kahit sa panahon ng eleksyon, sila na walang kapaguran sa pagtututo - ay sila pa ang napapabayaan ng ating gobyerno.. pero dahil sa pinakitang dedikasyon ni Ma'm Chato, madami pa rin ang nahihikayat na mag-aral sa kabila ng kahirapan..
napakadakila mo Ma'm.. isa kang tunay na bayani ng ating henerasyon.. saludo ako sa yo at sa lahat ng magigiting na guro sa buong mundo..

what's keeping me busy lately aside from the cases i've been working on in the office, and aside from Yu-Gi-Oh dvd marathons and reading courtroom drama thrillers?

♥ helping hands
few weeks ago, typhoons Ondoy & Pepeng had wrecked havoc to our beloved land.. a lot of lives were lost, houses got devastated, dreams gone shattered..
during these moments of turmoil, i asked my sons to pray for the safety of people, not only those who are close to us (relatives) but even to those who we haven't even met yet... my kids would fold their hands and imitate Santino's gesture (looking up to the heavens) and they'll say, "Bro, bless them ha...kaw na bahala sa lahat, thank you Bro.." that has been their litany every night when i put them to sleep... (except on weekends when they play games on our computer with their dad, they go straight to bed after an exhausting battle...:D )
in light with this, i decided to take part in helping typhoon victims by donating some of our clothes to church organizations... last Tuesday, i sorted out some clothes from our "lumang baul" and donated some baby apparels to "Bahay at Kalinga" group that my friend Novie organized to help typhoon victims in Zambales. the next day, i donated more clothes to my kumare, Marina's church who are helping out Pangasinan typhoon victims..
somehow, i feel joy knowing that my kids and i have helped in our own little way and reached out to those whe are in dire need... i'm praying that this kind of calamity won't happen again so that the lives of many will be spared...
it's good to know too that Pinoys still practice "Bayanihan" in times of crisis.. a proof that Pinoys haven't forgotten the values that our ancestors have instilled upon us..

♥ recent family bonding moments...
taken during our company's recent team building at Villa Antonina @SanFernando, Pampanga last Saturday.. i brought my kiddies along since my team mates insisted on seeing them.. i'm glad because they volunteered as baby-sitters.. . hehehe.. after our swimming expedition, the team went to the comforts of our homes at 12 noon... as typhoon Ondoy began striking an hour later...

♥ Drama Prince
kagabi lang, sa isang matinding eksena sa pagitan ni Mayor Enrique & Santino sa May Bukas Pa (teleserye), napansin kong maluha-luha ang aking bunsong si Kian.. akala ko ay may dinaramdam sya... pero nung pinakita na yung scene na umiiyak si Santino matapos pagsabihan ni Mayor Enrique, nabigla na lang kming lahat ng umiyak na rin nang malakas ang aking bunso...
"waaaahhh!!!!" hiyaw ni Kian... tinanong ko ang aking anak kung napano sya.. mangiyak-ngiyak nyang tinuro ang TV namin at sinabi nyang, "Mommy, galit Mayor! huhuh.. "
inalo ko ang aking anak at sinabi kong hindi naman sya ang pinapagalitan ni Mayor duns a TV, kundi si Santino... pero umiyak pa rin ang aking bunso at umiling-uling.. "Mommy, iyak din Santino, friend ko sya eh...ayaw ko sya iyak..."
nabigla ako sa tinuran nya at napatawa na lamang kaming mag-asawa.. pilit kong pinaintindi sa kanya na sa TV lang yun at di sya dapat maapektuhan.. ganun din ang ginawa ng panganay ko.. inakbayan ni Kyle si Kian at sinabi nito, "Dont Cry na..."

♥ not yet, mom...
two nights ago, i was talking to my little boy, Kyle and asked him if he wants to have a baby sister..
he said, "Sister?.. Baby? .. parang si Kyla?"
i told him, "Yes.. para meron na tayong little girl.. You and Kian will take care of her.."
he said again..."sister? girl?".. i nodded "Yes" again.. this time, he shook his head and said...""mommy, ayoko ng sister.. gusto ko si Kian lang..."
i asked him again..."hmm, kyle, what if Mommy likes a baby girl? Paano kung meron na baby girl sa tummy ni Mommy?".. i just told him that to see his reaction - but FYI, i'm not pregnant... hehehe...
anyway, when i told him about having a baby girl inside my tummy, he put his head and hand on my belly and said, "Hey baby girl.. wag kang lalabas dyan ha.. ang kapatid ko si Kian lang..."
ahhhh!!! this only means one thing... Kyle doesn't me to get pregnant again... ahehehehe...
oh well... maybe in the future, my little boys might change their minds... after all, they're still very young...
i'll try asking them again next time... maybe after 3 years.. :)

♥ popcorn tooth
i cant think of a better decription of my smile lately.. but, as funny as it may seem, i think i better tell you about this one-time big-time embarassing moment of my life.. concerning teeth.. my popcorn teeth...
a week ago, my former AOL buddies Kristine & Vinee had set up a movie date with me.. it's been more than 2 years since we last saw each other.. i am only able to communicate with them through SMS and blogs.. anyway, we decided to watch Transformers 2, because the three of us are all Prime addicts... our movie date served as our reunion of sorts...
inside the cinema, while we were watching the Autobots "transform and roll-out", i noticed that i was not able to chew on a particular pop-corn, because it was kinda hard.. so i threw it on my seat and continued munching.. later on, after i emptied out my box of popcorns, i felt like my mouth is breezy.. i licked my lips and my teeth.. as if there was something missing inside my mouth.. unable to discern my discomfort, i asked Kristine to join me to the Ladies Room to freshen up.. when i saw my face on the mirror, i was shocked!! i noticed that my front tooth was gone!! what's left was my teeny-weeny tooth that was once covered with a jacket.. eeep!!
yes, my left front tooth was actually a jacket. seeing my toothless grin, i realized that the one i threw wasn't a popcorn after all, but my tooth jacket! i cried and wailed because i cant help but feel so ugly.... Kristine suggested we go to the nearest dental clinic so i can have my jacket re-filled.. Vinee & Kristine left the cinema with me at the second half of the movie.. tsk tsk...
so we went to Tooth Impressions, the dental clinic that is being covered by my health card. I had my teeth cleaned and my dentist put a measuring clay that she used in order to mold a new tooth jacket.. i asked her then to mold a temporary filling for my front teeth so i won't look "bungal" until i get my tooth 2 days later..
now, i'm all set again to smile as wide as my lips can.. true, our movie date has been put on hold because of my pop-corn tooth incident, but i was still very thankful for my friends, Kristine & Vinee for supporting me and staying with me through the whole ordeal.. to you my "jolly old friends", i missed you so much and i hope to have another movie date with the two of you... thanks :)

♥ i'm back...
after almost 2 weeks, i finally came out of hiding and decided to run my fingers across this sticky keyboard of mine.. the past few weeks were grueling, mind-boggling and really exhausting.. actually, i still don't have the energy to blog, but somehow, i managed to steal some time out of my hectic schedule to drop by and say HI to all..
things at the office are getting rough.. some of our so-called friends had turned against us... some agents are talking behind our backs.. my AVP was devastated when he learned about his friend's betrayal.. this resulted to a conference meeting which ended up with a chaotic scene.. i am saddend by the fact that despite being udner one team, in reality, our group has been divided and we are now falling apart..
gone are the days when we used to be only 10 in the team... 5 Analysts and 5 Specialists. gone are the days when we used to gather once in a while to celebrate one's success.. gone are the days when everyone were doing their best to cater our client's business needs...
two yeas later, everything has changed.. the others left, a lot of new faces came... a new structure was built.. but inside this massive structure, an invisible wall separated us.. a wall that sees through everyone's action.. a wall that eventually turns eavesdroppers into "gluttons".. at this point, only the invisible wall is our hope, to learn which one breaks in to destroy the reputation that we have long kept clean...
ahhh.. there's so much i want to say right now.. but somethings holding me back.. i just wish that somehow, the issue in our office would soon be cleared, so everyone of us can work with our heads held up high, with nothing to worry about...
things at the office are getting rough.. some of our so-called friends had turned against us... some agents are talking behind our backs.. my AVP was devastated when he learned about his friend's betrayal.. this resulted to a conference meeting which ended up with a chaotic scene.. i am saddend by the fact that despite being udner one team, in reality, our group has been divided and we are now falling apart..
gone are the days when we used to be only 10 in the team... 5 Analysts and 5 Specialists. gone are the days when we used to gather once in a while to celebrate one's success.. gone are the days when everyone were doing their best to cater our client's business needs...

♥ tidbits...
because i've been gone for about a week, i wasn't able to blog about my (bet) winnings, new anime addiction or even greet my dad during Father's Day.. ahhh.. i'm such a bad girl...
anyway, for those who want to know, here's the rundown of the events that transpired last week..
Lakers won (4-1 series) against Magic.. and i was soooo happy!! for two reasons:
1) i'm a big Lakers fan - i love Kobe & Gasol...
2. i joined a bet in the office.. yep, for the first time in my life, i joined a betting game worth a thousand bucks... i know it's bad.. it's gambling.. but i just tried it.. i promise i won't bet again..
but yes... i was sooo happy because i won!! yipeeei already treated my friends here using the money i won..
okay... on with the other news....
i got addicted with the anime series Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion..(seasons 1 & 2)..
LeLouch Lamperouge (L.L.) is an interesting character.. a brittanian who fought against his home land and decided to protect Japan (Area 11) instead..
his alter ego - Zero is cunning.. but that's when i like him better.. he simply amazes me with his wit..
and C.C's green hair is sooooo cool... i'm not really sure if C.C. belongs to L.L. they look good together.. but Kallen's chemistry with L.L. is much more entertaining to watch..
guess what... my kid, Kyle is a big fan of Zero too.. he's the one who narrates to me what happened to Lelouch everytime i come home.. and he wants Kallen for LeLouch too!! LOL..
okay.. that's all for now.. i'm gonna blog again tomorrow... i just hope i could find the time..

a week ago, my Motorola phone died on me.. i wasn't able to text my loved ones for two days.. so i had it repaired.. but i think the man who supposedly fixed my phone may have replaced the batteries!
gosh! i'm now re-charging my phone every 16 hours! sheesh...
anyway, i'm thinking of buying a new phone.. the one that's got TV... so i can watch BOF when going home.. my officemates suggested iPhone and TV1100.. i browsed the web for their specs.. hmmm.. not bad at all..

♥ odds and ends
i haven't blogged for a couple of days now.. pressure from work is really TOXICating! i can't even tweet! yep, they banned Twitter in our office! i miss my tweet updates! good thing i had set Twitter with my Tumblr account, that's why i still get updated with Perez & Paris Hilton - not related in anyway but they do love each other and i love them both too.. hahaha! okay that's another story!.. but twitter on Tumblr aint complete.. i can't add some of my friends, like Inday! ugh!
speaking of Inday, our dear common friend, Blue is now working at my company as a trainer.. and i'm soooo happy to have her here with me.. Inday, Blue & I had been boardmates at the Chiang Mansion circa 2002-2004.. we had our moments together - from mansion gatherings to mall hopping, from late-night chit-chats to weekend TV/movie marathons.. having Blue and Inday as my housemates had been a blessing in my life.. we may have parted ways when i got married on 2005, but my dear friends from the Chiang mansion never lost communication with me. and now that Blue's with me, i couldn't contain my happiness.. everyday, i see her walking along the corridors or eating at the pantry or downstairs.. it's just like the old times.. we haven't had our super grand talk-a-thon but i'm looking forward to our reunion, once Inday returns from hibernation.. Inday! please come back here and have fun with us.. I miss you dearly!!

Last Sunday's ASAP's special production number really had me ROTFLOL - as in really rolling on the floor laughing out loud! Kanto Boys never fail to make me smile/laugh.. adding Toni G as Shan Cai/Guem Jandi is soo hilariously fun!! i'm loving my K4 even more each day...
what's this i read about Korean F4 coming to Manila in 8-10 weeks?! is this true? if so, then i would totally wait for them and relive the moments when i was still with my MSP family conquering the Taiwanese F4.. OMG!! as in MG fever still lives on!!! Jia You!!
